Healing: A Case Study: Past Life Regression

    Healing YOU

    Healing through the Past

I thought you might be interested in reading a past life case study. And so ... Laura, a physics professor at a RI university, was 54 years old. She had severe muscle spasms cramping her right shoulder, torso, and arm. The spasms were there in front of her classroom, sitting while meeting with students, and lying down in bed. It was a constant and painful condition. She wondered whether an alternative route would help because what was offered to her were drugs which made her lethargic and did not relieve the spasms.

I "asked" her body for the preferred modality of healing choosing among: nutritional support, homeopathics, hypnosis and regression, NLP, crystal and vibrational energy, shamanic, aromatherapy, entity removal, and Reiki. Her body chose past life regression.

Normally this is done in 2 sessions. During the first I lead my client into a hypnotic trance, having them find and memorize their state of calmness and relaxation, and "anchor" this feeling into them. With this done, I set up "safety nets" for them in regard to concerns or reservations of allowing the unconscious mind to travel back in time. "Safeties" may be a) they will become calm and relaxed when I trigger their anchor; b) they'll erect a movie screen and become the observer as events unveil themselves; c) they can put a plexiglas between self and movie screen in which nothing can penetrate; d) they can push the movie screen back a mile or so; e) they will move forward in time as I gently pull on their wrist; f) move backward in time with a gentle push on the wrist ~ anything whereby they feel safe.

Next, I set up ideomotor responses for "yes," "no", and "I don't want to answer" which is inclusive of: I don't want to tell you (me, the facilitator), I don't know, it is not the correct time for me to know, and various other reasons. Having these ideomotor responses in place allow the client to know they are in control.

I hypnotically request that they ask their inner mind to ask their unconscious mind if it is willing to go to a past life. If I get a "yes" signal, I tell them their inner mind is now preparing their unconscious mind to travel into their past and I add in where they are going. For example with Laura: "Your inner mind is now preparing your unconscious mind travel to a time where your first decided to have muscle spasms." For other clients I may say, "travel to a time and a life where you felt successful and strong." If I get a "no" signal, concerns are addressed.

This entire process for Laura, however, took only 25 minutes so we had time to go directly into the past. Laura's responses will be italicized. And here is her story:

  • Where are you?
    In the house
  • What are you doing in the house?
    Helping my mother clean
  • She looks frustrated so I ask: "What's going on?"
I'm trying to be good but she says I'm making a mess
  • How old are you?
    Thirteen
  • Where is your father?
Dead. He died when I was eight. He died in the battle.
  • What was your relationship like with your father?
Wonderful. He loved me so much.
  • And what is your relationship like with your mother?
She loved me when daddy was alive, but now she's always angry with me
  • When I count to five, you'll be in the next significant moment of this life. 1,2,3,4,5 - there. Where are you now?
    In the barn
  • And how old are you?
    Fourteen
  • What are you doing in the barn?
Surprising my mother. I'm feeding the animals.
  • She begins to cough and I ask: What's happening now?
I knocked the lantern over and the barn is on fire
  • And what's going on now?
    I'm dying
  • Anchoring calmness, I say: When you die, have your consciousness float either above you or beside you. Where is your consciousness now?
    Above me
  • Look down at yourself and what was your life all about?
That I tried to make my mother's life easier. I tried to make her happy. I tried to be good and I did everything wrong. I failed.
  • What qualities about yourself would you like to take with you?
    I guess that I tried & that I cared.
  • That's right ~ and I anchor in caring and bring it back to present day Laura. I also intuit this is not the place to find the root cause of muscle spasms. We need another session.

    Next session:

  • Go back in time to where you were seven years old and your father and mother were together. Tell me about your family.
    We had fun. We're laughing.
  • Float up high above your parents - way up high and float back in time until your see a circle which will be your mother's womb. Let me know when you are there.
    "Yes" signal
  • That's right. Float further back to the beginning of the circle where you will see a tiny dot - the spot of conception.
    "yes" signal
  • Notice there are two paths connected to this dot of conception - like a fork in the road. Go down the path that is your mother's life and notice that you become her. Keep going until your unconscious mind tells you to stop.
    "Yes" signal
  • Great. Where are you?
On my way home from my friend's house.
  • How old are you?
    Seventeen
  • She looks scared, I anchor calmness and ask: What's happening?
I took a shortcut through the woods. I'm not allowed to come here.
  • And what's going on?
    I'm being raped
  • When I count to five, you'll be in the next significant moment of this life. 1,2,3,4,5 - there. Where are you now?
    In my kitchen
  • Are you alone or with others?
I'm with my husband and our daughter
  • She looks uncertain and I ask: Tell me about your marriage.
I got pregnant when I was raped and never told my boyfriend (now her husband). He thinks the baby is his.
  • And how is this a problem for you?
I feel guilty. He loves her so much.
  • When I count to three, your daughter will be eight years old. 1,2,3. Here we are. What's going on now?
My husband left for war. I never told him she wasn't his. I should have told him.
  • And when I count to five, you will be at the next significant moment. 1,2,3,4,5. Here you are. Where are you now?
At my husband's funeral. He died in the war.
  • It's time to move forward to access her daughter dying in the fire. "What is your belief system about death?" (I already know this about Laura, but not the mother in this life)
We go to heaven to be together.
  • That's right. Now your daughter is eight years old. Grow her up to fourteen years old and step into her life.
    "Yes" signal
  • You have just died in a fire. Are you still above your body?
    "Yes" signal
  • Keep floating upward until you go where people go when they die.
    "Yes" signal
  • There. Are you alone or with others?
    Others
  • Who can you see?
    My father
  • Great. Go over and greet him and we'll all wait together until your mother gets here. Let me know when you see her. (We wait another 38 years.)
    There she is.
  • Yes. Now have her go over to your father and tell him the truth.
    She's afraid
  • Ask her if it will help if you go with her?
    "Yes" signal
  • What's happening?
She told him and asked him to forgive her.
  • And now what?
He's saying he always knew and it never mattered. He always loved us both too much for it to matter.

All her spasms left her body. Her problem stemmed from a past life's mother's guilt and her need to forgive herself and to be forgiven.

If this were done as a "long-distance" healing, it would end up with the same result. The technique would differ in that I would be the one traveling into the past ~ the client may travel with me, if they wanted. I would inform the client what is going on. The client would be the "director" in that he/she knows what feels right and what issues affect their lives. Whether we heal via the past in my office or long-distance, I get the same comments: people saying, "Thank you, this explains why I have had this problem all my life." Together, we establish healing.
